How to foster engaged employees in a global work environment

How to foster engaged employees in a global work environment

As companies become increasingly distributed between different offices, travelling employees and remote contributors, old ways of keeping a workforce connected are no longer effective. Annual parties and quarterly, in-person all-hands meetings aren’t possible—or are very expensive—for a workforce spread across an entire state, country or the globe.

However, that doesn’t mean that connectedness and engagement aren’t a vital part of a modern company. Connectedness is just as important as it ever was, if not more, now that employees may not work at the company headquarters or even in a company office at all. Connectedness leads to an engaged workforce, and engaged employees are more productive and less of a risk for turnover.
