<p>SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS AUSTRALIA ANNOUNCES NEW MONITOR SWAP SERVICE WARRANTY POLICY.</p>
<p>Samsung Electronics Australia will today announce effective from November 1st the new monitor swap service policy. Under the swap service warranty policy customer’s who experience a hardware related fault with their Samsung monitor during its warranty period will have it replaced with a new unit.</p>
<p>The replacement will be carried out onsite by a qualified technician who will verify the fault before packing up the faulty unit and installing and testing the replacement unit.</p>
<p>The replacement unit will be new, not refurbished and be as close as possible match to the faulty unit in regards to looks, functionality and performance. The remainder of the faulty unit’s warranty period will carry over to the replacement unit.</p>
<p>PRODUCTS COVERED</p>
<p>Any 15 to 19 inch Samsung SyncMaster CRT or 15 to 21 inch Samsung SyncMaster LCD monitor * with a hardware fault that is still under Samsung’s manufacturers warranty.</p>
<p>Samsung will arrange alternate warranty service for customers who do not meet the above warranty service criteria.</p>
<p>* SAMTRON and 3M MicroTouch™ product excluded</p>
<p>AREAS OF COVERAGE &amp; RESPONSE TIMES</p>
<p>The warranty service will cover all Australian metropolitan and country areas. Samsung will provide alternate warranty service arrangements for remote or rural areas.</p>
<p>In metropolitan areas Samsung will endeavour to attend onsite within the next business day from call logging. For non-metro areas additional time will need to be factored for monitor delivery.</p>
<p>SWAP SERVICE PROCEDURE</p>
<p>Warranty swap service can be arranged by contacting the Samsung Customer Response Centre by phone: 1300 362 603 or by email, monitor.service@samsung.com</p>
<p>When arranging swap service the customer will need to provide the following information;</p>
<p>• Contact and address information
• Monitor model number
• Serial number
• Date of Purchase</p>
<p>The customer will be notified of the replacement model and provided a reference number when the call is logged.</p>
