Ricoh introduces a new standard in colour printing - Aficio CL5000 colour laser printer offers fast A3 output with superior quality
- 08 September, 2003 16:34
<p>Hot on the heels of Ricoh’s latest colour multifunctional device launch is the introduction of the Ricoh Aficio CL5000 colour laser printer, a competitive, high speed network printing system that delivers black-and-white and colour documents up to A3, collated and finished with the click of a mouse.</p>
<p>The Aficio CL5000 sets a new standard in productivity with its impressive black-and- white print speed of 36ppm and with 10ppm colour capabilities. It also features superior image quality and versatile paper handling, all in a small footprint. Now small businesses and corporate workgroups can take advantage of the greater control and cost savings offered by in-house laser colour printing without the need to sacrifice black-and-white performance. Ricoh has ensured that the black-and-white cost per page of this printer compares favourably with dedicated black-and-white laser printers on the market, while the colour printing costs of the CL5000 will make it a leader in its class.</p>
<p>Jeremy Plint, Ricoh Australia’s National Manager, Colour Products comments, “With the introduction of the Aficio CL5000, Ricoh is addressing the growing demand for discretionary colour in the office by offering a high speed black-and-white network printer that can also provide superior laser colour without blowing the budget.”</p>
<p>The features of the Aficio CL5000 include:
*At 36 ppm B&W, there is no reduction in print speed when compared to dedicated black-and-white laser printers.
*A colour print speed of 10 ppm with high quality 1800 x 600 dpi resolution output makes the CL5000 particularly suitable for producing professional looking text and graphic documents.
*Fast output - first print speed of less than 7.5 and 18 seconds respectively for black-and-white and colour means greater productivity – particularly for commonly produced documents with small paginations.
*Competitive cost per page for both black-and-white and colour output.
*A3 (297x420mm) capability, up to A3 Wide (305x457mm) via bypass tray.
*Optional on-line finishing - finished documents ready for distribution with on-line collating and stapling.
*Choice of PDLs - choose from Adobe® PostScript® 3™, PCL5c emulation, or Ricoh’s Windows application-friendly, RPCS.
*Optional 20GB hard disk, means you can print sensitive documents and release them at the printer using a secure password.</p>
