SAP A/NZ has been left empty up top with managing director, John Ruthven, and chief operating officer, Jim Fisher, both resigning from their posts.

A statement from the company said both executives have left the software vendor with a view to “pursue opportunities outside the company.”

Following the departure, SAP said Asia-Pacific and Japan head of services sales, Stephen Moore, will step up to be managing director in the interim and Asia-Pacific and Japan chief operating officer, Paul Marriott, and A/NZ chief financial officer, Gina McNamara, will jointly fill the temporary chief operating officer spot.

Ruthven replaced Andrew Barkla less than 18 months ago in May last year - he initially joined the software giant in January 2014 as cloud lead for Asia-Pacific after leaving his job at Zuora Technologies.

In a similar scenario - as stated on LinkedIn - Fisher held his chief operating officer role at SAP for just 16 months.

Before stepping up to the role, he spent three years at the company as vice-president of ecosystems and channels for South-East Asia.
