The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (PMC) has given its seal of approval to the roll out of 8common’s Expense8 travel and expense management enterprise software as a service (SaaS) solution.
Expense8 is a travel and expense management product with an integrated software solution that streamlines the accounting, reporting, tax compliance (GST, FBT) and governance of employee generated expenses and corporate travel bookings. Tailored for each client, Expense8 provides organisations with the tools needed for employees to plan and book business trips; and reconcile travel and corporate expenses.
The initial customer contract - projected to be $395,000 - is for a period of three years with provisions for extension for another two years.
The PMC win will add to 8common’s committed Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and additional monthly transaction revenues with the pre-trip approval travel and receipt matching modules, the company said.
PMC welcomes the implementation of Expense8 and is working closely with 8common, it said in a statement. “This milestone represents a key step toward their new travel and expense management operating model.”
8common CEO, Nick Gonios, said the company is looking forward to working with the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet to drive greater process and cost efficiencies.

Expense8 government customers include Federal Department of Finance, NSW Department of Education, NSW Police, whole of Northern Territory Government, and Transport for NSW.
