Australian businesses are dealing with the same challenges that organisations do in the US, according to Ancile sales and professional services vice-president, Patrick Dunlap.
Despite the difference in the size and make-up of both markets, Dunlap said the conversations by customers are very similar.
“They all face learning challenges, concerns about workforce productivity, and the pitfalls of BYOD,” he said.
“There’s also the changing workforce demographic, as well as the expectations of the younger workforce in terms of how they interact with technology.”
Dunlap said there are also questions around what role learning has within an organisation.
“It used to be something part of HR, and sometimes there is a learning development component part of the business,” he said.
“Most of the times it is part of an IT function, because it is tied to the rollout of a specific technology.”
Whether it is organisational or political challenges, Dunlap sees businesses both in Australia and the US looking for ways for dealing with them.
Ancile has been relying on its channel partners to aid businesses in overcoming these mutual challenges, and Dunlap said the vendor’s channel is growing as a result.
The company already has a working relationship with SAP, with Dunlap adding there are plans to bring more products and extend that arrangement.
Ancile has also been working with HP and BMC for a year, and the intention is to look for ways to extend those partnerships within the next three to six months with additional partners.
“We’re looking forward to provide more solutions to our customers through more channel partners,” Dunlap said.
