Newcastle Permanent is looking for a CIO to lead a team of 70 IT staff and drive the $8 billion retail banking provider’s systems development, IT operations and overall technology direction.
The successful candidate will report to the CEO, Terry Millett, and “actively contribute as a key member of the executive team with a particular focus on governance,” the company said in a posting on seek.com.au.
The new CIO will “provide the CEO with strategic IT advice, direction and priorities, manage internal and external relationships including suppliers, business leaders and other key IT partners.”
Newcastle Permanent said it is looking for a “high calibre” CIO or IT general manager with strong IT skills and experience in the “development and implementation of information systems, and the application of IT to support business requirements.”
The CIO will also need to “encourage, coach and mentor team members”, must understand business as well as risk and compliance issues.
Newcastle Permanent’s head office is in Newcastle with branches throughout the Central Coast, Central West regions, Hunter, Mid North Coast, New England, and Northern Rivers regions of NSW.
