IT product provider Byte Power (ASX:BPG) has expanded its Asia-Pacific distribution operations, signing a deal to become the exclusive regional distributor for two health tonics.
The company has agreed to distribute the D'Care and G'Wellness tonics developed by Malaysia's Bio Photonic.
The 10-year deal covers territories including China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, PNG and the UAE. Byte Power will also provide the products in Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines through a joint distributorship deal with Bio Photonic
Announcing the deal, Byte Power said it had been working to leverage its regional distribution network in Asia and its presence in China to explore new market opportunities.
Bio Photonic managing director Robert Pathiadass said the size of this network had been a factor in convincing his company to go with Byte Power, even though the distributor “is not traditionally in this industry space.”
Byte Powers core products include eKiosks, network management and ERP solutions and uninterruptable power supply (UPS) devices.
BPG shares stayed flat on Tuesday at $0.003.
