Careers and recruitment company Ambition Group (ASX:AMB) has revealed it had launched IT recruitment operations in both Sydney and Singapore.
The businesses will focus on finding permanent and contracting placements in a range of technology sectors.
Ambition has also indicated it may expand the operations to also involve training job candidates in harder-to-find technology skills.
Ambition executive chairman Nick Waterworth said the company hoped to replicate the success of its IT recruitment and contracting operations in Sydney and Melbourne, which have been a strong source of profit.
“We are keen to make an investment in expanding our footprint in technology recruitment [starting with] Brisbane and Singapore, both cities which we believe have bright futures,” he said.
Ambition currently operates accounting and banking businesses in these cities.
Waterworth said the presence of existing clients in Brisbane and Singapore will help Ambition introduce IT recruitment more efficiently.
AMB shares kept flat on Tuesday at $0.300.
