Powerlan (ASX:PWR) has appointed former Comarch executive Pawel Kleczek as a vice president of its Clarity telecom division.
Kleczek will assume the role of Clarity's vice president of business development for central and eastern Europe.
He joins Clarity from IT business solutions provider Comarch, where he spent the last 11 years in various roles, most recently director of the telecom business unit.
Kleczek will be tasked with overseeing Clarity's expansion into the European markets under his purview.
The company has commercial relationships with operators in the area including Bulgarian market leader Vivacom. The pair signed a two-year contract in May 2010.
Clarity provides unified operational support systems (OSS) to telecom operators worldwide.
Powerlan's other business units are ConverterTechnology, which provides support software for Microsoft Office 2007 and 2010, and international trading solution provider IMX Software.
PWR shares stayed flat on Wednesday at $0.027.
