Business software provider ComOps (ASX:COM) has won a contract to deploy its safety and risk management software for a NSW education provider.
Parramatta's Catholic Education Diocese will deploy ComOps' Salvus software suite to fulfil its injury management obligations to its employees.
The diocese will replace its existing separate online databases, developed in-house three years ago, with the upgrade.
Steve Marchant, head of staff services at the diocese, said the group had been limited in its ability to manipulate injury data for analysis or reporting purposes.
“We were looking for greater flexibility in our data management and to eliminate double handling of data,” he said.
The decision to choose Salvus followed a market review of competing claims management products, he said.
The diocese manages 77 Catholic systemic schools with a total staff of around 4,000, and a combined 41,000 students.
Deployment will begin in the first quarter of calendar 2011, ComOps said. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
COM shares fell 11.11% in Friday's public trading to $0.050.
