Telstra is trialling pieNETWORKS' joint internet, phone and email kiosks in a four-month Australian market assessment.
The first two terminals being used in the trial have now been installed at Darwin International Airport, and a further 48 Hotspot Webphones will be deployed in more Australian airports in the coming weeks.
Depending on the outcome of the trial, pieNETWORKS and Telstra will then negotiate terms for a large-scale commercial deployment of the kiosks.
pieNETWORKS completed a $1 million placement in August.
TLS shares ended Tuesday's trading 3.4% higher at $2.740. PIE shares were unchanged at $0.022.
