Internet technology and marketing company Webfirm (ASX:WFM) has hired former Skilled Group financial controller Brendan Maher as its new CFO and company secretary.
As well as financial controller, Maher also held positions including general manager of acquisitions and corporate development during a seven-year tenure at Skilled.
Maher has previously held roles at organisations including the Transport Accident Commission and National Westminster Bank Germany.
He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
“The Board is delighted to have attracted a CFO with both the credentials and experience that Brendan bring to the role,” Webfirm CEO David Burden said.
Maher will take over from Damien Element, who stepped in as interim company secretary in September, following the resignation of Gavan Flower.
Maher is Webfirm's second major oversight role appointment in three months – the company is September appointed Computershare (ASX:CPU) founder Chris Morris to its board as a non-executive director.
