CEC delays FY10 accounts for fifth time

Building and construction company CEC Group (ASX:CEG) has delayed the lodgement of its FY10 financial accounts for the fifth time.

The company had originally advised it intended to publish its accounts on September 30, then on October 4, then October 6, October 11 and October 13.

But the company yesterday revealed it is not yet ready to publish, and now plans to do so on October 15.

“The company continues to be finalising its position on a critical accounting issue that impacts on the completion of its financial statements,” CEC said in a statement.

The statement added that the company is “making every effort to resolve this issue” and remains conscious of its continuous disclosure obligations.
