Internode, iPrimus hook up first NBN customers

ISPs iPrimus and Internode have separately activated services for two of the first fully operational customers to the National Broadband Network.

Internode said it had activated services for IT technician Robert Pettman at about 5pm yesterday. Internode's first NBN customer, Pettman is now on a 50Mbps FTTH service.

iPrimus meanwhile said it had signed up its pioneer customer in Midway Point, Tasmania using the iPrimus Extreme 100Mbps service.

Demand for iPrimus' FTTH offerings, so far available in Midway Point, Scottsdale and Smithton, has exceeded expectations, iPrimus added.
