Clarity fulfils Indonesian contract

Powerlan (ASX:PWR) has revealed its telecom division Clarity has deployed the a network support system for Indonesian operator PT Telkom.

Clarity has provided an Operational Support System (OSS) for PT Telkom's Flexi CDMA fixed mobile service provider division.

The solution combines network monitoring, fault management and inventory automation processes, the company said.

PT Telkom had already previously deployed Clarity software for their switching, transmission and data and metro-Ethernet operations. The operator is working towards consolidating all their network operations across a single platform.

“With a single system to manage operations it is faster to identify issues, and to ensure they have minimal business impact,” Telkom CIO Indra Utoyo said. “It will also reduce the costs of our ongoing operations.”

Flexi has an estimated 16 million subscribers across around 370 Indonesian cities.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Last week, Clarity revealed it had completed phase two of another Asia-Pacific contract, the rollout of a network operations centre for the Philippines' Globe Telecom
