Austar (ASX:AUN) signs deal to pick up SelecTV customers

Subscription television provider Austar (ASX:AUN) has signed an agreement to market its services to English-language SelecTV subscribers about to lose their service.

SelecTV has decided to cease broadcasting all pay TV services in English after a 90-day transition period.

During this time, Austar has arranged to send a letter to all English-language subscribers offering to migrate them to Austar services for a similar price.

SelecTV currently has over 8,000 English-language subscribers in Austar service areas.
