Telecommunications company pieNETWORKS (ASX:PIE) has appointed a new chairman in a board reshuffle.
The company has tapped existing board member Peter Abery as its new chairman, and appointed telecom veteran Bill Zikou as a new independent non-executive director.
Abery, who has been appointed independent, non-executive chairman, has served as an independent director since May 2007. He has served as managing director of Vodafone in Australia and has held senior mangement roles at Telstra.
Zikou has more than 35 years experience in the telecom industry, with 25 of these in senior management and executive roles. He was previously CEO of Ericsson South East Europe, and prior to that was CEO of Ericsson Australia, NZ and the Pacific Islands.
