Telecom New Zealand (ASX:TEL) has announced the resignation of long-serving independent director Rod McGeoch.
McGeoch will retire from the board at the conclusion of the company's AGM, Telecom said. He has been a director since 2001.
McGeoch had previously announced his decision not to stand for re-election in 2008.
“Rod has been a board member at a time of profound change for our company and industry, including the move to operational separation,” Telecom chairman Wayne Boyd said. “I thank him for the dedication, seriousness and enthusiasm he has brought to this role.”
