Telstra (ASX:TLS) subsidiary Telstra International has won certification from the Metro Ethernet Forum for its suite of global Ethernet services.
MEF is a non-profit international body which works with carriers, network equipment vendors and other networking companies to define the performance and functionality requirements for carrier Ethernet services.
Telstra's carrier Ethernet offerings were given MEF14 certification – meaning they adhere to throughput, jitter and traffic management standards – and MEF9 certification, meaning they perform to the functional specifications defined by the MEF.
