Nexbis Limited (ASX:NBS) has stated that it will embark on its third and final attempt to receive a US patent for its mobile identity authentication technology.
The patent application has been twice rejected by the US Patent and Trademark Office, but Nexbis intends to file further amended claims within the next three months.
Nexbis has three months to respond to a 'final office action’ rejecting the patent claims. The response will then be considered and responded to.
But Nexbis said it has already received patent protection from the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore, and has applications pending in numerous other jurisdictions.
