EOS (ASX:EOS) wins $10m weapons system contract

Optical technology developer Electro Optic Systems (ASX:EOS) has won a $10 million contract for the delivery of remote weapons systems.

The company said it had received the order for its EOS R-400 products from an existing customer for its remote weapons systems.

The order has lifted EOS's order quantity above the company's annual production capability, CEO Ben Greene said.

But the company has planned an expansion of its production capacity in the US in anticipating of meeting this order threshold – a plan which is now being executed.
