Wayne Boyd has revealed he intends to stay on as chairman of Telecom New Zealand (ASX:TEL), even as he prepares for retirement elsewhere.
Boyd, who plans to resign from some other directorial positions, said he would say put while the company charts the waters of the changes in industry structure required under the government's Ultra Fast Broadband project.
“I have reached the stage in my career where I can start looking forward to retirement,” Boyd said. “However... I remain committed to Telecom at this time of tumultuous change.”
