NetComm unit wins $1.2m order for 3G modems

Broadband product developer NetComm (ASX:NTC) has announced that its industrial 3G division, Call Direct, has received a $1.2 million order for its new 3G modem.

The company said the deal with IKUSI ANZ represented the first significant order for its new NTC-9808 model modem.

As part of the deal, Call Direct customised the modems so they can be integrated into IKUSI’s digital set-top box product.

Delivery will commence in July, NetComm said, adding that it is also pursuing sales for the NTC-9808 in overseas markets.
