Structural completes first US state govt contract

Structural integrity testing company Structural Monitoring Systems (ASX:SMN) has announced that it has completed its first bridge monitoring contract for a US state government department.

The company’s solution will be the primary means to continuously monitor the integrity of a major bridge across the Mississippi river.

It is based on Structural’s proprietary Comparative Vacuum Monitoring technology, combined with mobile technology and a solar cell to provide continuous monitoring and real-time error reporting.

The company added that it had sensed growing interest for its products among other US state departments of transport.
