Telecom NZ’s director of mobile, Paul Hamburger, has resigned from the company effective July 8.
“With the launch and consolidation of XT behind us, Paul has made the choice to move on from Telecom at the end of his current contract period,” Telecom retail CEO Alan Gourdie said.
Telecom’s XT mobile venture has been plagued by issues such as network outages, with the company’s CTO, Frank Mount, resigning over the issue.
But Gourdie said Hamburger had nothing to do with the building or management of XT network infrastructure.
Hamburger will be replaced by Kieran Cooney, the CEO of its retail partner Leading Edge NZ.
