IT services provider DWS Advanced Business Services has posted a net profit of $9.3 million for 1H10, a year-on-year increase of 28%.
The company lifted its revenue 10% to $48.1 million, and its dividend 43% to five cents per share.
Looking ahead, the company said it was “cautiously optimistic” about what the year will bring, and currently expects comparable earnings in 2H10.
DWS said it will focus on staff recruitment in the immediate future. While it is likely to become far more challenging to attract high-quality consulting staff once business confidence increases, further difficulties in the US, European and Asian economies will provide a rich vein of recruitment opportunities for Australia, DWS said.
The company said it will also emphasize staff retention, and broaden its focus with regard to acquisitions.
