Online job listings grew 3.6% in January

The number of Australian online job listings grew 3.6% in January, suggesting that employees are remaining confident despite threats of another interest rate rise, the Olivier Group said.

The Olivier Job Index has grown 14% in the last six months, but vacancies are down 22% since January 2009, the company said.

National growth in permanent full and part time positions offset a contraction in casual job opportunities.
