Empired wins $5m IT service contract with WA police

IT services provider Empired (ASX:EPD) has secured a contract worth an expected $5 million to provide strategic IT consultations to the Western Australian police.

The company will provide services in the area of strategic planning, benefits realisation and project delivery assurance.

The three-year contract – with two one year extension options – will be billed based on work done, giving the WA police the ability to increase and decrease services in line with their requirements, Empired said.

Empired shares have climbed 17.4% to $0.14 following the announcement.
