Sofcom halts Billionstocks talks

Former software company Sofcom (ASX:SOF) shareholders have unanimously agreed to stop pursuing the acquisition of Billionstocks, ceasing talks which had been taking place for over a year.

The company’s shares have been suspended from official quotation by the ASX since 2005, during which time it has acted as a shell company seeking a new business opportunity.

But the Billionstocks acquisition will not be that opportunity, with proxy voters all deciding to cease negotiations.

Meanwhile, proposals to re-elect directors John Phillip Rivett and Kristian James also passed unanimously.
