Qantas (ASX:QAN) has announced that its passenger numbers had improved overall in October, in another sign of the recovery of the airline industry.
Qantas said the passenger numbers across its group of operating companies increased 6.7% year-on-year last month. Revenue per kilometer increased by 3.2% over the same period.
But Qantas said domestic passenger yield for the financial year to date has shrank 10.2% year-on-year, while international yield fell 24.2% when excluding foreign exchange fluctuations.
Foreign entities currently control 45% of the company, Qantas added.
