Nearmap wins WA innovation award

Ipernica (ASX:IPR) subsidiary NearMap has won a prize at the 2009 Western Australian IT and Telecommunications Awards.

The judges recognised NearMap for its ability to update maps more frequently, and to create new markets for aerial mapping services around the world, WAITTA chairman Michael Coles said.

NearMap has been designed to fully automate the process of creating HD photomaps of entire countries or continents, ipernica added.
