Virgin Mobile has launched a promotion offering mobile users 1GB of free data allowance if they sign up to a Virgin plan.
The company, which operates wireless and mobile broadband services over Optus’ national network, is offering 1GB of free data per month for mobile broadband subscribers.
Mobile phone subscribers can meanwhile sign up to a 1GB plan and receive the first three months’ access free.
To promote the new plans Virgin Mobile is arranging surprise gigs from popstars MGMT and Wolfmother, and is planning more concerts before June.
