Monadelphous wins $100m contract from Rio Tinto

Engineering company Monadelphous Group (ASX: MND) has won two three-year maintenance services contracts from Rio Tinto worth around $100 million.

Monadelphous has been contracted to provide the maintenance for Rio Tinto’s coastal and inland-west iron ore operations in Western Australia.

The contract bestows Monadelphous with the responsibility for any shutdown and maintenance services across various Pilbara sites, the company said.

“We are very pleased to be given the opportunity to significantly expand the scope of our maintenance services to Rio Tinto Iron Ore,” managing director Rob Velletri said.
