Shares in gold miner Kingsgate Consolidated (ASX:KCN) rose 3.9% today, as the company announced a better-than-expected yield from its Thailand mine operation.
The company mined 40,224 ounces from its Chatree mine, Kingsgate said, which heralds production of up to 140,000 ounces for the financial year.
The company is expected to hit the one million ounce milestone in February, and has a proven 1.5 million ounces of reserves.
KCN shares are currently trading at $9.80.
