Telecom offers free Facebook browsing

Telecom NZ (ASX:TEL) has launched a new service offering limited free mobile browsing of Facebook on its XT Mobile network.

XT subscribers will be able to browse 0.facebook.com, a text-only version of the social networking site, without offering data charges.

Charges will apply if users click through to photos or internet links, or if they access the site internationaly.

Facebook is offering Telecom customers exclusive access to 0.facebook.com for a six-week period.

TEL shares have today grown 1.31% to $1.550.
