Chevron Australia has awarded the Kellogg joint venture a $2.7 billion contract to build part of the Gorgon natural gas project.
The venture, which consists of engineering firms KBR, Clough, JGC and Hatch, will engineer, procure and construction manage the downstream and logistics segments of the multibillion dollar Gorgon project.
Kellogg will execute and construct a liquefied natural gas facility on Barrow Island, including three processing trains with a capacity of five million tonnes per annum, treatment facilities and storage sites.
The companies will also construct a domestic gas plant with facilities for geosequestration – the practice of storing emissions deep within the earth
