Internode expands own network into Mt Gambier

ISP Internode has expanded the reach of its owned broadband network into Mount Gambier in South Australia.

The operator has installed its own equipment into the town, setting up dedicated links to Adelaide.

Internode has now launched SHDSL and ADSL2+ services in Mt Gambier for the first time, and set up a free wireless hotspot at the local public library.

“The cost of transferring data between the South East and Adelaide had previously held us back” from offering Mt Gambier residents the same choice of plans available elsewhere in Australia, Internode corporate account manager Dylan Street said.
