Australian finance executives show the highest levels of confidence worldwide in the performance of their company than their global peers, according to research commissioned by Basware.
The purchase-to-pay solutions provider said 60% of Australian financial executives are confident in the performance of the overall company going forward, compared to a global mean of just 40%.
Australians also expressed the most confidence in the performance of the global economy of any nation in the global survey.
While raw cost cutting is the main focus for executives worldwide, including in Australia, local executives have a greater focus on the more strategic goals of improving profit margins and increasing top-line performance.
The survey also showed that just 40% of Australian respondents believe they achieve a good standard of intrabusiness collaboration.
To help bridge this gap, more than eight in 10 Australian CFOs use or are planning to use invoicing and purchasing automation software.
