New CEO of Australia for Systems Union

<p>Systems Union Group plc has appointed Tony Farrell as chief executive officer for all its operations in Australia. Mr Farrell will be based in Sydney and will manage the company’s network of offices in Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne and its extensive channel partner community throughout the Australian continent.</p>
<p>Mr Farrell was the co-founder of Lasata Software, the business intelligence provider acquired by Systems Union in May 2004. He has considerable international experience in marketing software solutions, having played a key role in the development of the reporting and analysis tools that Lasata now markets under the Vision brand in some 158 different countries. Tony’s knowledge and understanding of the international marketplace and diverse customer needs will be invaluable to the further strengthening of Systems Union’s global footprint.</p>
<p>Previously Mr Farrell was General Manager Technology for the Bond Corporation. He has also held senior roles with Perth Building Society (later Challenge Bank), BHP and WA Government. He holds a BA Business in IT from Curtin University.</p>
<p>“Systems Union has a strong hold in the Australian market with its financial management software and my core focus will be to build that business by driving the full range of recently acquired products to market,” said Mr Farrell. “While consistent growth in the financial management software sector for Systems Union in Australia is expected, I anticipate spectacular growth to come in the area of enterprise planning and business intelligence.”</p>
