Victoria will give vouchers to technology companies in the state under an $8 million program announced by the Vic Coalition Government.
Vouchers will support development of new products and processes using ICT, industrial biotechnology and micro- and nano-technologies. The program is part of Victoria’s $150 million technology plan.
“One of the principal advantages of the new voucher program will be the way it brings together converging technology fields and brokers new linkages between businesses and Victoria’s world-class technology infrastructure and know-how,” said Victoria technology minister Gordon Rich-Phillips.
Victoria announced three type types of vouchers:
- Technology Student Accelerator vouchers worth up to $10,000
- Technology Development vouchers worth up to $50,000
- Technology Implementation vouchers worth up to $250,000
“Businesses can apply for support at any time during the year, and if successful, will be able to commence work with their service provider of choice within one month,” said Rich-Phillips.
