Regional water corporation seeks CIO

Central Highlands Water is looking for a CIO to lead IT initiatives

Central Highlands Water (CHW) in Ballarat is seeking a chief information officer (CIO).

The newly created role is a full-time position and was developed after a realignment at CHW. It will be the central point for information and communication technology initiatives.

The CIO will be responsible for collecting, synthesising, organising and managing corporate information and services. He or she will also provide a leadership role in implementing and developing IT initiatives.

The CIO will initially oversee 11 staff members and report to the general manager of business services, Anthony O’Brien.

Top-level critical analysis and customer service skills are essential for the role. Applicants must also have senior management experience in a similar role, experience in strategic planning and execution and excellent business and process analysis skills.

A minimum degree or qualification in knowledge management or IT is required.

CHW delivers water and wastewater services to around 125,000 people.
