IT and telecom service provider Anittel (ASX:AYG) has been selected as a preferred supplier to WA local governments.
The company has been appointed to the Western Australian Local Government Association (WALGA) supply panel as an approved hardware and ICT services provider.
The agreement covers areas including managed service solutions and network administration.
Anittel said it had already won business out of the appointment, including an IT support and maintenance managed services contract with the Shire of Toodyay.
The selection builds on Anittel's pre-existing relationships with local governments in NSW, Queensland and Tasmania.
In April, Anittel acquired Dubbo-based IT services provider IT West in a bid to strengthen its presence in regional NSW.
AYG shares stayed flat in Tuesday's trading at $0.007.
