The Australian head of CA Technologies has quit the top job after only three years in the role.
The news of Brenton Smith's resignation was broken by <i>The Australian</i> today, which revealed Smith had accepted a regional role with another technology company.
The Australian reported that the news shocked employees and came only four days after the company opened a new office in Canberra, and only months after it acquired Sydney-based technology partner Torokina Networks.
Vice-president of solution sales, Chris Wilson, is set to take on the role of until a decision is made about Smith's replacement.
CA Technologies last year announced it planned on realigning five business units, with the company appointing new unit heads.
