Google has created a new level in its enterprise reseller program to recognize channel partners with the highest revenue and customer satisfaction.
The Google Reseller Program now has a tier called Premier Resellers, which is a step above the existing Authorized Resellers category.
To qualify for Premier Resellers, channel partners need to meet specific levels of revenue, customer success and technical expertise, Google said in a blog post on Thursday.
The company didn't provide details about the criteria to qualify for the Premier Resellers tier in the blog post.
Google also plans to add more categories to the Reseller Program to better identify specific areas of expertise among participants.
"As our reseller partners continue to help customers succeed, we hope these new standards will help them strengthen their business by providing clear benchmarks for them to strive for and meet," wrote Jim Chow from Google's Global Partner Programs in the blog post.
Enterprise products in the Reseller Program include the Google Apps hosted collaboration and communication suite, the Search Appliance enterprise search device and the Google Earth Enterprise mapping software.
