Addresses VoIP management needs for major growth market

Sydney – January 20, 2005 - Integrated Research, developers of PROGNOSIS Voice over IP (VoIP) and IP Telephony management solutions, today announced the release of a new suite of products specifically designed to manage VoIP deployments in multi-site, branch-office organisations such as banks, finance and insurance organisations, retailers, hospitals, travel agents and educational institutions.

The PROGNOSIS IP Telephony Express suite includes PROGNOSIS for CallManager Express and PROGNOSIS for Unity Express, designed to work with the leading IP telephony provider system to ensure optimal quality of service (QoS).

“The demand for VoIP in distributed organisations is expanding rapidly - in particular retailers and banks have now realised the benefits of leveraging their existing data network infrastructure to accommodate voice. This has created a situation where we’re monitoring voice, data, and their interdependencies,” said Kailem Anderson, product manager, Integrated Research.

PROGNOSIS IP Telephony Express is the only management solution to address the unique requirements of this rapidly growing market segment by providing a simple, out-of-the-box solution averting the need for specialist, branch-based technical personnel.
“While PROGNOSIS provides a simplified view at the branch-office level, it also offers serious, in-depth problem identification and drill-down diagnostic capabilities, allowing distributed VoIP deployments to be monitored and managed via a centralised network operations centre, or by a managed service provider.” adds Anderson.

This new offering positions Integrated Research extremely well to take advantage of the rapidly growing market for VoIP and IP Telephony, and consolidates Integrated Research’s global leadership position in this arena.
