<p>CIBA Vision, Harrah's, QUALCOMM, Swisscom Mobile, Telefonica Brazil Recognized for Innovative Use of TIBCO Technology</p>
<p>PALO ALTO, Calif., Nov. 11, 2005 – TIBCO Software Inc. (NASDAQ: TIBX), a leading business integration and process management software company that enables real-time business, today announced that CIBA Vision, Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc., QUALCOMM, Swisscom Mobile and Telefonica Brazil were honored as recipients of the second annual TIBCO Customer Excellence Awards. Decided by an independent panel of business and technology experts, these awards recognize innovative use of TIBCO technology and customers' efforts to drive overall business value.</p>
<p>Awards were given in the following categories: excellence in a business optimization; business intelligence; enterprise backbone; business process management (BPM); and best use across categories. Winning solutions were judged in four distinct areas: level of innovation; difficulty of challenge; uniqueness of vision; and business value.</p>
<p>CIBA Vision, winner in the "Excellence in Business Optimization" category, was recognized for its internal Operational Excellence project (OpEx). The OpEx project integrated its various software system resources to provide a single global network to efficiently run its business and increase its ability to rapidly respond to customers. As part of its integration project, CIBA Vision used TIBCO software to create a new fully automated order placement system that gives immediate access to accurate sales, inventory and customer orders, enabling the company to make informed and timely decisions.</p>
<p>Harrah’s received the award for “Excellence in Business Integration” by positively influencing a customer’s casino experience in real-time and measurably increasing customer playtime at slot machines. Harrah’s unique Operational CRM (OCRM) system uses TIBCO software to integrate various business systems and capture real-time patron activity, so the company can rapidly respond to changing business dynamics. The first phase of the deployment, which was implemented in record time of under five months, allowed Harrah’s to customize patron experiences to build long-lasting relationships that increase customer loyalty and help drive repeat visits.</p>
<p>Swisscom Mobile was recognized for “Excellence in Enterprise Backbone” for increased automation and flexibility of real-time business events, and the seamless integration of its debt management system with the company’s customer relationship management and billing provisioning applications. Swisscom Mobile substantially improved process efficiency and fully automated the creation of billing accounts, management of customer hierarchies, service provisioning, subscriptions management and customer notifications. The company also witnessed an overall reduction in business operating costs and enhanced customer service support by accelerating the time-to-market of new telephony offerings.</p>
<p>Telefonica Brazil, winner in the BPM category, was honored for streamlining and improving the quality and speed of its product de-installation and sales billing processes for enterprise businesses. The process-driven deployment helped reduce customer billing complaints by more than thirty percent, minimize errors made from sales discounts and promotions, and automate billing processes for small and domestic customers.</p>
<p>The winning company in the “Excellence for Best Cross Product” was QUALCOMM for the use of TIBCO® BusinessWorks and TIBCO® BusinessWorks Workflow in combination with TIBCO Enterprise Messaging Service™ and TIBCO Administrator™ to implement two Quality Engineering Processes Corrective Action Requests (CAR) and Action Trackers (AT). The CAR/AT system allows QUALCOMM’s Quality Engineering organization to easily manage and track all corrective actions which are issued to prevent the recurrence of a nonconformance that has a direct and adverse impact on product, process, service quality, safety, performance, reliability and customer satisfaction; with real-time status reporting via the intranet. In addition to greater operational control; the company achieved significant cost and time savings.</p>
