Fuji Xerox Printers Partners Iconiq to Help Retailers Profit from Printing
- 03 September, 2008 12:09

AUSTRALIA, Sydney – 3 September 2008 – Fuji Xerox Printers announced today that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Iconiq, a leading provider of consumer messaging solutions for corporate retailers, to provide an Iconiq branded Managed Print Service (MPS) program designed specifically for retail environments.

Under this partnership, Iconiq will offer retailers its award winning SignIQ in-store signage and labelling solution in conjunction with Fuji Xerox Printers PagePack MPS technology. Known as PageIQ, this customised MPS program from Iconiq provides customers with a fixed price per page cost model for printing in-house. Customers are only charged a fixed cost per page, irrespective of how much toner or other consumables are used. This makes the cost of printing predictable, visible to business owners and easier to manage.

Tom Lewis, Marketing Manager of Fuji Xerox Printers said, “Our partnership with Iconiq is living proof of Fuji Xerox Printers’ capability to partner with solution providers to offer customised Managed Print Service programs for vertical markets.”

“With Iconiq, retailers can now enjoy the benefits of printing in-house with a Fuji Xerox printer at an affordable price. Iconiq’s PageIQ provides business owners a competitive advantage as they do not have to worry about the capital investment associated with hardware purchases. Retailers can now expand their printing fleet according to their business needs.”

Michael Ursino, Director of Iconiq said, “We partnered with Fuji Xerox Printers after a detailed consultative process where we worked together to develop a unique solution for the retail industry. Iconiq chose Fuji Xerox Printers as they offer a full range of business-grade devices that produce high quality in-store signage and materials very quickly.”

“PageIQ allows retailers to produce materials in-house at an affordable rate and the devices have the sophistication to handle a wide range of paper stock. Fuji Xerox Printers have significant environmental advantages and this is another important consideration our clients have when they choose printers for the operations.”

Fuji Xerox Printers is the only printer vendor that has the widest range of products certified with the Environmental Choice Australia Mark (ECAM), Australia’s only Type 1 Life Cycle Analysis based eco-labelling scheme based on the ISO 14024 international standard for third party environmental labelling.

PageIQ in conjunction with SignIQ provides retailers with many distinct advantages and these include:

• The flexibility to print on-demand anytime, anywhere and to make changes to in-store signage and labels when required.
• The ability to allow retailers to better leverage their investment in catalogue advertising by following their promotional concepts through to the shelf. This enables retailers to unify their out-of-store advertising, marketing and promotional content with in-store visual merchandising.
• Reducing the level of waste as individual stores can determine how much promotional material they need to print.
• Streamlining operational processes as promotional materials do not have to be printed, stored or transported to individual stores. This reduces production and distribution costs for promotional materials.
• Improving staff productivity as Fuji Xerox Printers are designed to print large batches of signs and labels without the need for supervision or monitoring.
• Enhancing the creativity for in-store displays as Fuji Xerox Printers are designed to take different types of paper stock required for signs, shelf talkers or posters.

Mr Ursino added, “Having access to colour laser printers means retailers have total control over the speed and quality of print jobs. While these have traditionally been the major drawbacks of colour printing in-house, the Iconiq PageIQ program addresses these issues while also offering many other solutions.”

PageIQ is integrated with SignIQ, a complete solution for designing, distributing and producing in-store signage, ticketing and labels. It works with existing POS merchandise and advertising systems to transform existing data into targeted graphical messages that attract, inform and influence customers at the point of purchase.

The Iconiq PageIQ program is available immediately through Iconiq. For further information, visit www.iconiq.com.au or call (08) 9315 3622.
