Objective 7.2 provides additional choices that enable Objective’s customers to access their content directly from within Microsoft Windows Explorer, Microsoft Outlook and increase reach to standards-based web applications. In simple terms – Objective 7.2 gives customer’s greater opportunities for end-user adoption.

Mr Tony Walls, CEO, Objective Corporation says: “We are pleased to say that our accelerated investment in R&D has led to substantial new capabilities released in Objective 7.2.”

“From a technical perspective, Objective 7.2 continues the architectural revolution which began with the first release of the Objective 7 generation of the product.”

“Objective 7.0 introduced industry leading Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Objective 7.1 extended this by introducing our Web Services offering, WebTalk, built on an industry leading Enterprise Services Bus platform. Objective 7.2 leverages WebTalk and provides even greater ease-of-use through integration with the Windows operating system and the Microsoft Outlook email application.”

The 7.2 release includes several new features and some important updates to existing functionality including:

- WinTalk: Save and open content from Objective within any Windows® application as well as Explorer.

- WebTalk: Extends our Web Services revolution using Web2.0 technologies including SOAP, REST, POX and JSON.

- Docsearch: A familiar, simple to use, web based content search interface.

- Portal 7.2: Our familiar web interface, now freed from platform constraints. Supported browsers include Internet Explorer 6/7 and Firefox 2 for Windows, Firefox 2 for Linux, and Safari 1.2 for Mac OS X.

“At Objective, we continue to invest in innovation excellence to enhance the value our customers derive from their Objective implementation,” says Mr Walls.

“The multiple goals of usability and adoption, our ability to deliver document and process centric applications, and standards based application integration continue to drive our vision.”

“We have had great success with customers using Objective 7.2 during its Early Availability phase. We will maintain this success by ensuring that 7.2 continues to be implemented by our customer base both in Asia Pacific and the United Kingdom to help them to streamline their business processes.”

“The Objective paradigm of aligning people, content and process remains at the forefront of Objective’s industry-leading ECM solution.”
