• 08 February, 2008 12:04

Sydney, February 7th 2008 — Fujitsu PC Australia finally reveals the intricacies of its notebook design and brings to life four lifestyle orientated scenario environments: Home Office, Living Room, Bedroom and Entertainment/Dining Room – all at home with Fujitsu LifeBook collection from the new ultra-light LifeBook P8010 to the award-winning LifeBook U1010 – the world’s smallest* tablet-convertible ultra-mobile PC at today’s exclusive media launch, held at the stunning de de ce Minotti showroom.

Fujitsu’s leading chief designer, Kenichi Kimura is the event’s special guest, flying in direct from Japan. Kimura will be welcomed by the events host, Australian ex-Olympic silver and gold medal winner and Commonwealth World Record holder, Geoff Huegill.

Passionately delivering Fujitsu’s design concepts and ideals to the most exclusive, hand-picked Australian consumer and technology media, Kimura will also present Fujitsu’s PC concept products which are not-yet seen in Australia.

“Design has always been centered on design concepts, ideas and visions. With Fujitsu, it’s never only about the aesthetics. Our design philosophy embraces factors such as the lifestyle of consumers, sustainability of the environment, as well as our society at large.” says Kenichi Kimura, Chief Designer and Design Consultant, Fujitsu Design Limited, Fujitsu Japan.

One of the latest forward-looking concept PCs from Fujitsu is “Fabric PC” which is based on the concept of electronic paper and supports the various usage models due to the flexibility of the display. Meant to simulate a portfolio made of paper, the unit is soft, pliable and can be carried around comfortably.

Kenichi Kimura brings with him a passion for product design and a wealth of creative ideas, having been a designer for a wide spectrum of products in the last 10 years.
